As a teacher, I’ve found two cool things about Haiku Deck:
1) I love PowerPoint and Keynote on my computers, but on my iPad, Keynote is $9.99 and PowerPoint doesn’t exist. When I’m on the go and need to create a classroom presentation on my iPad, Haiku Deck provides the perfect platform. When it’s time to present, I can upload my Haiku Deck to Facebook or Twitter, convert it to PowerPoint or .pdf for emailing or present it directly from my iPad.
To enhance presentations even more, Haiku Deck has a wide range of fonts, layouts and filters. ThinkWell may add additional premiums later, like design templates or premium images.
2) Finding the right image for a presentation and then crediting it properly is time-consuming. Haiku Deck has millions of Creative Commons images (free, high-quality photos) which are available to users in a fantastic database. Looking for a picture to illustrate “Technology can be terrifying …”? Type in the word “terrifying” to see all the free photos that align with “terrifying” as well as some other suggestions for synonyms which might work as well. There is also an option to upload your own pictures, in case you want to personalize things.
With Haiku Deck from Giant Thinkwell, presentations on the iPad are quick, easy and professional-looking. Just get the free download of Haiku Deck from the App store, create a free account, and you’re ready to Haiku!
