As we allow our students to go online for play as well as school, it’s important that they know to be skeptical of anyone online they don’t know. It’s easy to create an email address or an AnimalJam.com profile and misrepresent who you are. Unless kids know exactly who they are talking to online, they must NEVER give out personal information or agree to meet someone. Our kids need to be comfortable enough to ask us for our help in determining the trustyworthiness of things online they find questionable or uncomfortable. This is a video created for my district to show to students so they keep in mind that online predators can’t be seen behind the screen.
