P1060304Teacher Geek was Common Core Chic at the first CapCUE Tech Fest, September 27, 2013, at Natomas Charter School in Sacramento, CA!  More than 200 educators from around Northern California came to CapCUE to learn more about integrating technology into their classrooms.  “Teacher Geek is Common Core Chic!” presented a plethora of apps as well as how Common Core looks in Room Nine!  The special link to preview the first 100+ pages of James Patterson’s new young adult novel, “Treasure Hunters,” was also given shared along with a special review by a Room Nine student!  Special thanks to Joe Wood, CapCUE treasurer, and the CapCUE team for hosting such a great event!

Session Description: Common Core Standards are more exciting than their name implies. P1060309They call for higher level thinking through rigorous, relevant and creative content provided by teachers, and integrating technology in our lessons will be a vital component. We’ll showcase websites, software and apps you can use immediately in your class to excite, engage and elevate your students to uncommon levels. Teacher Geek is Common Core Chic!
