Tammy Dunbar is now a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert!





MANTECA, CA – 11/24/2014

Tammy Brecht Dunbar was selected by Microsoft as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert for 2015 for her excellent in using technology to help students learn and achieve more while ultimately succeeding in a mobile, cloud-based world. She has also been invited to be a blogger on the Microsoft Educator Network blog, “What’s Fresh?” (Her first post is HERE.)

This year, Microsoft selected more than 800 educators in 100 different countries to be a part of their exclusive global community, paving the way for peers to share ideas. MIE Experts work closely with Microsoft to lead innovation in education, build educator capacity for using technology to improve student learning and advocate & share their experiences in how technology improves teaching and learning. In addition, MIE Experts mentor other educators and help train them in educational technologies and Microsoft products and tools.

Tammy Brecht Dunbar, M.Ed., S.T.E.M. teaches 5th grade in Manteca Unified School District and Pre-Service Technology at Teachers College of San Joaquin (Stockton, CA). She has presented at CTA Good Teaching Conferences (2014 & 2015), Cap CUE (2014), all three California Subject Matters Project Conferences, Capitol Area Science Education Leaders Conference, and several San Joaquin County Office of Education Conferences as well as many local district conferences, seminars and trainings. She won the 2010 eInstruction $75,000 Classroom Makeover Video Contest, wrote a successful $208,000 Enhancing Education Through Technology Grant for MUSD in 2008, and was Teacher of the Year in Manteca Unified School District in 2006.
